Boone County Proposed Fiscal Year 2010 Budget Available Online

The proposed fiscal year 2010 budget for Boone County Government is now available on the County's website at http://www.showmeboone.com/Budget%202010/ProposedBudgetFY10.pdf.
The proposed budget document includes an executive summary, an explanation of risk areas in the budget and information about county revenues and expenditures.
The County Commission conducted numerous budget work sessions in September and October which led to the development of the proposed budget. As required by state law, the County Commission will hold at least one public hearing on the proposed budget before taking final action. The date and time of the hearing(s) will be announced when they are determined by the County Commission. The proposed budget can be altered and revised by the County Commission prior to adoption as they see fit. The statutory deadline for adoption is January 10, 2010. The County Commission has set a target adoption deadline of mid-to-late December.
